Unassuming, but all the better for it. In short: Very, very good food, both in terms of quality and taste. Top-notch service. The decor is somewhat rustic, but still very nicely (Christmas-style) decorated. For our next North Sea holidays: definitely back!

After a wonderful family bowling and dinner at the Friesenhof in May 2025, I decided to give it another go for my own birthday! The five of us arrived, and everyone ordered something different. I had a crab cream soup as a starter and was blown away by the first spoonful! It was absolutely delicious and made me eager for the main course! I had a mixed steak platter, and that topped everything! The sauce was divine, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy, and the accompanying fried potatoes were heavenly! The service was incredibly friendly and always happy to accommodate our requests! All in all, a fantastic evening! We'll definitely be back more often; it was worth every penny! Highly recommended!

We ate here for the first time today to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was very tasty – although the appetizer (5 small prawns in garlic) was very overpriced at €10. The main course was simply divine. We also mentioned the menu on the website, which had different prices than those displayed in the restaurant. The chef/owner addressed our constructive criticism directly and resolved the issue very professionally and courteously. All in all, we would gladly return.

We've been there a few times. The food is good to very good. It takes a little while because it's freshly prepared. They serve a small snack to help pass the time. Highly recommended. The price is like everywhere else; you can't go there every week.
